Banks and Currency Exchange
The United Kingdom's currency is Pounds Sterling. Credit cards and debit are generally accepted in restaurants and shops.
Climate and Clothing
In June, the weather may be quite pleasant and the average temperature will be around 13oC. However, as Scottish weather is unpredictable, it is advisable to bring a sweater and a light raincoat or umbrella. Edinburgh has a large number of cobbled streets, so flat shoes are generally recommended when walking through the city centre.
Insurance
The organisers do not accept any responsibility for individual medical, travel or personal insurance. Participants are strongly advised to have their own travel insurance policies.
Passport & Visas
A passport is valid for entry into the UK, including Scotland. Each delegate is responsible for obtaining their own entry visas, if required. Please contact the proper authority (Consulate or Embassy) for information.
