Kylie Ball
Kylie Ball is an Alfred Deakin Professor and National Health & Medical Research Council Principal Research Fellow at Deakin University’s Centre for Physical Activity and Nutrition Research. She completed her doctoral training in psychology in 2000, and has since led a research program centred on understanding and promoting healthy eating, physical activity and healthy weight, with a particular focus on women and those experiencing socioeconomic disadvantage. She has published more than 200 papers and co-edited two books in this field, and served as an invited expert on a number of key government, non-government and industry advisory committees. She is a Founding Fellow and past President of the International Society for Behavioral Nutrition and Physical Activity, and she established and led that Society’s first Special Interest Group, which focuses on socioeconomic inequalities in behavioural nutrition, physical activity and sedentary behaviours.
